Axis Launches Four-Camera F34 Surveillance Solution for Retail and Office Markets

Discreet four-camera surveillance solution launched by Axis for retail and office marketProduct in a nutshell: The AXIS F34 Surveillance System is pitched as an easy to install, highly discreet four-camera surveillance system with the hardware and software necessary for integrated remote video monitoring.

Features:

  • Discreet sensors: Four thumb-sized AXIS F1004 sensor units can be discreetly recessed or surface-mounted on ceilings and walls using the included accessories. Can be installed within a range of up to 15 m (49 ft.) away from the AXIS F34 Main Unit
  • Rewritable storage: Two microSDXC cards with 64 GB storage space. The microSDXC cards used in the F34 system is also specifically engineered to handle continuous overwriting for lasting performance. Sufficient space for one to two weeks’ worth of video recording to be retained before overwriting takes place
  • Automatic recording: Automatic configuration for recording based on video motion detection
  • No external recording device required: Cards compatible with main unit’s built-in SD card slots for local storage of recordings and enables them to run independently without an external PC or recording device for day-to-day operation
  • Storage space: Zipstream technology allows ready implementation of H.264 video encoder for lower bandwidth and storage use of about 50% in several surveillance scenarios
  • No extra charges for video management software: Axis also provides freely downloadable video management software, AXIS Camera Companion 3.10 with the F34 surveillance system for remote monitoring from any device
  • Quad-view streaming: AXIS F34 also supports quad view streaming, which combines four separate views from the connected sensor units into one screen for simultaneous viewing
  • Frame rate: Used in combination with the 1080p AXIS F Sensor Units, the main unit of F34 can stream 1080p videos at 12.5/15 frames per second (50/60 Hz) or 720p videos at full frame rate (25/30 fps) from each channel
  •  Tampering alarm: AXIS F34 Main Unit also supports active tampering alarm and third-party applications based on the AXIS Camera Application Platform
  • Main unit can also be powered using Power over Ethernet or an external power supply

Compatibility: The F34 surveillance system also offers support for Video Motion Detection 3, a video analytics program that can detect false alarms by differentiating between motion such as swaying trees and small animals so that it can precisely detect moving objects that pose real threat.
