CSL acquires WebWayOne

CSL, a provider of connectivity for M2M and IoT devices, has acquired WebWayOne Ltd, the alarm transmission service provider founded in 1999.

CSL says the acquisition will create new possibilities for both companies in terms of what they can achieve through product development.

CSL CEO Ed Heale said: “It’s great news. Our aim is to always provide the best possible solution to our customers.

“WebWayOne have software capabilities that we do not have and we look forward to being able to offer these to our customers.”

Said Chris Carter Brennan, managing director of WebWayOne Ltd: “This is a great alliance and better for our customers. We are delighted to be able to offer our Conxtd platform to the broader customer base that CSL have access to.”

The acquisition follows the capture in December 2017 of IQIP, a Netherlands-based provider of IP-based security and telecommunication services, and of Emizon Networks Ltd, which provides monitoring services for intruder, fire and CCTV systems, in April 2017.

In a recent interview with IFSEC Global Ed Heale said: “Acquisitions and reinvestment have been vitally important to our strategy. We reinvested 18 months ago with our current backers – Norland Capital, ICONIQ Capital and RIT Capital Partners – and that deal has given us the platform we need to drive forward with the next stage of the company’s development.”
