Chinese university chooses Legic multi-application campus card solution
More than 3,000 point of service terminals at the school are to be upgraded, as well as the introduction of new terminals and access control readers across the entire campus.
Tianjin has already been using Legic’s technology to manage its payment processes and access control.
Zhenkai Wan, president of the computer science and software engineering at the university said:
“Year after year, we issue more than 5,000 new campus cards. Thanks to the flexible expandability of the Legic smart card platform we can now enhance our identification system independently and adapt it to future demands.
“The possibility to easy modify or add applications has been one of the most important reasons why we have decided for Legic advant.”
Dr Otto Eggimann, vice president of sales and business development at Legic said: “Legic advant is a state-of-the-art technology in many school and corporate campus installations in Europe.
“More and more, the advantages of this technology are also leveraged by our Asian customers.
“Especially solutions for universities become increasingly important for us as they can enable a lot of potential for improvement in terms of integration, efficiency and service to students and the organisation.”
