Ensuring the competence of fire risk assessors will feature highly in a series of free seminars taking place at Firex North on 27-28 October.
Firex North will take place at the newly refurbished Manchester Central venue
Senior industry figures will be presenting the latest moves to develop recognised criteria for professional fire risk assessors, as well as accreditation schemes for individuals and companies delivering risk assessment services.
Other topics on the agenda at the Info4fire Learning Zone will include enforcement action under the Fire Safety Order, the fire safety responsibilities of landlords, and avoiding the pitfalls of inadequate passive fire protection.
Firex North is taking place at the newly refurbished Manchester Central venue – right in the heart of the city. It will be co-located with Business North West, an event providing information, products and services for businesses and other organisations, with features such as the Google University and a business innovation lounge.
More than 60 companies and organisations will be exhibiting at Firex North, including Apollo Fire Detectors, C-TEC, Kentec Electronics and Warrington Certification.
“We are extremely excited to bring Firex North to Manchester Central 1 following 2008’s success in Harrogate,” said James Blue of UBM Live, organisers of Firex North.
“Fresh off the back of Firex South, we are in no doubt that fire industry professionals will find Firex North equally beneficial, and our co-location with Business North West will provide unique trading opportunities to both our visitors and exhibitors. With a vast array of leading companies already signed up to exhibit and an exciting, free-of-charge educational programme on offer, this is an event not to be missed by any fire safety professional.”
Companies interested in exhibiting should contact Rob Kearney on 020 7921 8342, [email protected].
