In addition to raising the profile of Xtralis within the UK security sector as a whole, both Lee and Wilbraham will be tasked with driving sales across Xtralis’ existing range of ADPRO video surveillance and management technologies as well as a number of new products scheduled for release to market during 2010.
Lee has over 25 years’ experience in the security sector, having worked for a number of security and access control solutions manufacturers both in the UK and in the EMEA region.
Most recently, he spent ten years with Sensormatic/Tyco as pre-sales technical manager for the EMEA region responsible, for the technical sales of integrated CCTV and access control system solutions.
In joining Xtralis, Lee hopes to build on the experience and knowledge gained throughout his career.
Developing business, building relationships
“In previous roles,” he explained, “I found I enjoyed direct customer contact and involvement with the existing customer base. This new opportunity with Xtralis offers me the chance to be out in the field developing business and building customer relationships. Working for an exciting business with exciting products, the role will allow me to make the most of my skills and industry knowledge, and do more of the things I enjoy.”
According to Lee, his new role is “incredibly varied” and involves meeting with central station managers, systems integrators and the pre-sales teams on a regular basis while also playing a part in influencing products of choice and in specifications and designs. “Primarily, though,” he continued, “I’m involved in building relationships to help drive sales and find further opportunities for Xtralis.”
While the majority of his time is to be focused on the ADPRO range of products which are well-known throughout the industry, Lee will also be introducing the new range of high-end IP access control, recording solutions and integrated security platform products to the customer base.
“I’m relishing the challenge and the opportunity to raise the profile of Xtralis and its products within the UK security industry,” concluded Lee.
Returning to the fold
Wilbraham is equally experienced in the security sector, having worked in the industry for nearly 30 years (including nine years at Xtralis). He was originally an installation and service engineer before moving into service management and project management for a national company specialising in intruder alarms, CCTV and access control.
Most recently, Wilbraham served as national account sales manager for Honeywell.
In returning to Xtralis, Wilbraham will be responsible for boosting sales across the southern region, from the south coast as far as Leicester, including East Anglia, Kent and Sussex and across to Portsmouth. He will be based out of Xtralis’ UK headquarters in the magnificent town of Hemel Hempstead.
Wilbraham told SMT Online that he’s delighted to back at Xtralis.
“Having prior knowledge and experience of the product range has made for a smooth handover and a rapid integration within the team,” he explained. “With a range of new products planned for 2010, including some exciting innovations in CCTV and access control, this provides me with a fresh challenge that was too good an opportunity to miss.”
