New compact DVR for domestic and industrial markets
At GB pound 375, the Media DVR aims to provide a cost-effective solution for the domestic and industrial surveillance markets, but is also suitable for video recording and point of sale applications.
“The new Media DVR offers a powerful all-in-one package that eliminates the need for dedicated security systems and delivers a higher level of functionality to users in a wide range of market sectors,” said Ron Sharpe, Vigilant Vision’s managing director.
The DVR is said to be compatible with all commonly-used CCTV cameras – including speed domes – and can run most industry-standard protocols.
An onscreen PTZ function lets users manually control up to four cameras, each of which can be set to start recording at certain times of the day or when motion is detected. Meanwhile, images can be viewed in a variety of modes including split screen, picture on picture and full screen.
The Media DVR, which can be added to a network or used as a standalone device, stores up to two weeks of video recordings. These can then be downloaded to SD or CF cards or the DVR’s built-in DVD drive for distribution or archiving.
In the home, the device can be used to play DVDs and its memory card slots allow users to view photographs in a digital frame.
The Media DVR is available now with a three-year warranty and can be ordered through distributors around the country. To find out more, visit the Vigilant Vision website.
