NSI appoints Matthew Holliday as technical manager
The National Security Inspectorate (NSI) has appointed Matthew Holliday, formerly technical manager of Chubb Fire & Security, as its own technical manager.
Holliday has more than 30 years’ experience within the electronic security industry with a particular expertise in industry standards and their practical application.
As member of several BSI and CENELEC committees he has been influential in the evolution of British and European standards.
“I’m excited to begin this new chapter,” said Holliday. “It’s a privilege to work among such a diverse and experienced team with their relentless commitment to raising standards within our sector.
“I look forward to applying my experience of managing a number of highly successful technical projects, often involving software development and cooperation with IT professionals at a technical level, for the benefit of the wider industry.”
Reporting to Robert Conlon, head of standards, Holliday is tasked with finessing existing, and developing new, NSI certification schemes, codes of practice and audit activities, as well as collaborating with industry committees on the implementation of standards.
The NSI is the UK’s most prominent certification body for the fire and physical security sector. A rigorous, continuous audit regime ensures that approved companies meet minimum standards around compliance with British and European Standards, codes of practice and certification schemes.
