An internal dome with built-in IR LED illuminators, it has been designed to suit a range of applications including offices, retail outlets, petrol stations and hotels.
In-built IR LEDs
The SCD-2080R is a true day/night camera with a removable infrared cut filter. Due to built-in 12 IR LEDs it has the ability to capture clear images of objects which are up to 20m from the camera, even when the area is in total darkness, according to Samsung.
The camera has been made to adjust the intensity of the IR LEDs automatically according to the distance of the distance of the object.
It has been built with Samsung Techwin’s W-V DSP chipset, which allow it to capture high resolution colour images at 600 TV lines during the day and 700 TV lines monochrome images at night.
Neutralising bright light
Additional features include eight motion detection zones, twelve privacy masking zones and highlight compensation technology, designed to identify and neutralise excessively bright areas in an image – such as a torch light shone directly into the camera.
Coaxial control compatibility allows the fourteen language on-screen display menu to be accessed fro the control room through a compatible digital video recorder.
It also has third generation Samsung super noise reduction technology, made to eliminate image noise in low-light conditions without creating ghosting or blurring.
