Axis Communications is one of the UK’s Best Workplaces for 2019

Axis Communications has been named the 10th best UK small business to work for, with 94% of its UK-based employees considering the video surveillance pioneer a great place to work.

Great Place to Work administers assign to candidate companies a Trust Index score – Axis achieved a score of 94% – based on employee responses to a survey, and a Culture Audit, which evaluates HR and leadership practices, policies and culture.

One of 132 UK organisations to make the grade the IP network camera developer, which is headquartered in Sweden, was recognised as one of the UK’s best Workplaces in 2019 at a recent award ceremony at Tobacco Dock, London.

“Technology should be an enabler that improves peoples’ lives, but this cannot be achieved without developing and sustaining a workplace culture with broader values embedded within it.” Atul Rajput, regional director, Northern Europe at Axis Communications

“We are delighted that Axis UK has been awarded Great Place to Work status,” said Victoria Paine, HR manager for Northern Europe at Axis Communications. “At Axis we believe that our success as a company is a direct result of our culture and core values and we are proud of how our employees reflect this.

“Being awarded this status is recognition of the hard work, effort and dedication that all of our employees make. Being a great place to work is a team effort, and we have a great team!”

Axis, which has diversified into access control, audio, voice over IP and building automation markets, says it places a big emphasis on conducting business ethically with social and environmental responsibility. Every single one of its UK-based staff agreed that “this organisation manages its impact upon society responsibly.”

Said Atul Rajput, regional director, Northern Europe at Axis Communications: “At Axis we believe in ‘Innovation for a smarter, safer world’ with sustainability being an integral part of Axis’ long term strategy. Technology should be an enabler that improves peoples’ lives, however, this cannot be achieved without developing and sustaining a workplace culture that has broader values embedded within it.

“Looking at the feedback we received from our employees, it is clear Axis strives to support, value and develop employees to maintain a happy and engaged workforce. But it also reflects our wider goal of a purpose beyond profit and is a real statement on our commitment to sustainable business principles.”

Axis Communications is exhibiting at IFSEC International 2019, taking place 18-20 June 2019 at ExCeL London (stand IF920). Book your free ticket now.
