CCTV right at the point of danger!

Dedicated Micros (DM) has delivered the major CCTV element for DangerPoint, an innovative Safety Education Centre created by the police service and the key agencies responsible for safety in north Wales.

The Centre – located in Talacre, Flintshire – is targeted at school children across the region, and opened last September. It has been designed to offer a series of safety-related interactive scenarios wherein children learn ‘hands-on’ about the risks and dangers associated with everyday life.

To protect the children while they are in residence, DM has installed its Eco4 compact plug-and-play DVR and four cameras, the latter providing spot monitor displays for the Centre’s reception and shopping areas (as well as coverage of key exhibition zones including water, building site and home/garden safety). The CCTV is also being used for training purposes.
