One of the UK’s biggest High Street retail chains – Woolworths plc – has recently updated the surveillance systems at its London Head Office with the installation of domes and multiplexers supplied by Merit Li-Lin.
Specified by Woolworths plc risk manager Simon Edwards, products installed include stainless steel high resolution fixed mini-domes, high speed fully-functional colour domes, PC-based networked digital recording multiplexers, 15″ high resolution colour monitors and colour ‘Super Eye’ high resolution cameras.
As a company, Woolworths has been using CCTV to deter theft ever since the mid-1970s. “We plan to use similar products in a rolling project covering ten of our sites throughout the rest of 2003,” added Edwards.
These rolling installations will be completed by Active Instore, whose engineers are poised to use Li-Lin fully-functional domes, multiplexers, small matrix systems and digital video recorders. Merit Li-Lin – Enquiry 102
