Following a successful bid by the Caradon Community Safety Partnership to the Government’s Crime Reduction Programme CCTV Initiative, the Cornish towns of Liskeard and Saltash have taken delivery of a CCTV network courtesy of systems integrator the Essa Security Group.
Based around Essa’s computer-controlled TouchView product, the system interfaces with eight Panasonic WV-CS850 colour/mono mini-domes installed in both town centres.
The domes offer a 22:1 optical zoom, 300 degrees per second rotation to pre-sets and colour/ monochrome switch for improved low light sensitivity.
The installation is backed up by a new, dedicated CCTV control room in Liskeard featuring the very latest innovations in touch-screen technology.
