Keyhole Security, he said, had agreed a four year deal whereby the company’s cameras would monitor 30,000 of the UK’s most critical culverts – checking to ensure the Agency knew of any flooding incidents that could have a major impact on towns and villages.
He also gave us a demonstration of the Xtern camera which is being used on location for the Environment Agency – crucially, its bespoke nature means the individual cameras can easily be modified and tailored to the specific environment in which they are asked to perform.
