Video surveillance cameras from IDIS monitored two stadiums during the recent football World Cup in Russia.
Surveillance systems at the 45,000-capacity Rostov Arena and 35,000-capacity Kaliningrad Stadium were upgraded to the IDIS Total Solution. Some 3,000 IP cameras with full HD were deployed, including:

A range of full HD, true wide dynamic range (WDR), IR bullet cameras
And full HD box cameras with all external cameras equipped to withstand Russia’s often harsh weather conditions
Command and control was provided by an IDIS ultra-thin bezel 55” video wall stationed in a centralised surveillance monitoring centre. Security staff could access 60 days of archived footage from 50 remote IDIS DR-8364 NVRs installed at situational centres and rapidly detect and respond to health and safety incidents, suspicious behaviour or terrorist threats.

IDIS Critical Failover was deployed to guarantee footage was still captured and recorded if system faults arose such as network instability, network failure, storage failure, recorder hardware failure and power supply failure.
The World Cup 2018 was widely hailed as a success on the security front with all 64 matches passing off without major disturbances within or outside the stadia.
