India’s $500 mn security market set to grow at 30%

Organized by UBM India, it is scheduled to be held from 5th to 7th December, 2013 at the India Expo Centre, Greater Noida (National Capital Region). For the vendors, this event serves as an effective launch pad for new products and a rich base for quality enquires. Set over a sprawling 15,000 sq. meters of exhibition floor area, IFSEC India is expected to have around 250 exhibitors from over 20 countries who will interact with almost 10,000 security professionals visiting the show. Apart from this, there will be dedicated country pavilions from China and France and many more countries are expected to join. Parallel Conferences

In addition, parallel conferences on Commercial and End-User security have been lined up and bring together the best minds in the industry, discussing critical issues and future strategies such as – ‘Good analytics is good business’, ‘Systems integration and next generation security systems’, ‘Best practices for commercial security’, ‘Solutions for smart and safe neighborhoods’, ‘Is today’s commercial security reactive or proactive?’ etc.
According to Mr. Joji George, Managing Director, UBM India Pvt. Ltd., “The recent spate of terror attacks across South Asia, underlines the need for security. It is imperative that we safeguard banks, offices, schools, colleges, hotels, hospitals, IT & BPO organizations, entertainment & sports events, aviation, railways and highways. Critical sectors such as telecom, warehousing, real estate and construction, infrastructure & utilities, manufacturing, jewellery and retail showrooms, and of course the residences are also in need of top-notch security. IFSEC India 2013 shall address security requirements of all these verticals.”
He further added, “The Indian security market is expected to grow at 30% to 35%. The Indian Government has increased its security budget by 35%, announcing a spend of USD 1 billion on police modernization and arranging coordinated intelligence gathering, as well as increasing security for critical infrastructure and its 7,500 km long coastline. All of these actions promise an exciting future for the Indian security industry and IFSEC India in the years to come.”
Like all its previous editions, it is expected to have encouraging participation and visit from India’s vendors and channel partners (resellers and system integrators) besides end-users from state government, law enforcement agencies, defense & paramilitary establishments, and security heads from PSUs & major companies. Asian Professional Security Association (APSA), India Chapter, has lent its support to the event.
To facilitate travel, UBM India has arranged Volvo coaches from various locations in Delhi, Gurgaon and Noida to the event venue.
