IFSEC Global: Can you please tell me a bit about the product and what it does?
StarVedia: The Z-Wave IP Camera is a smart-home solution on a camera (SoC). This is an IP camera with Z-Wave controller/gateway functions integrated inside.
With this camera you can control/monitor all Z-Wave devices in your house through your iPhone/iPad and Android mobiles/pads.
IG: Why is it innovative? What does it do that no other product does?
SV: Z-Wave technology is an innovative wireless communication protocol for smart home usage. With this technology integrated, the Z-Wave IP camera can easily control/monitor all Z-Wave devices, including door-lock, curtain, lighting, power plug, electronics and sensors.
StarVedia combines IP Camera with Z-Wave Technology, which you don’t see others doing on the market.
IG: Why did the company feel there was a need in the market for such a product?
SV: More and more people rely on technology, so the smart home concept is a big trend. As a surveillance and smart home solution provider StarVedia has focused on the development of user-friendly video products and applications.
The easy-to-use all-in-one features of StarVedia’s IP Cameras simplify the applications of smart home devices and greatly improve the user’s experience.
IG: Which kind of customers will be interested in this product?
SV: End users who would like to have a DIY smart home solution due to our product’s easy installation and user-friendly technology.
IG: What are your plans or expectations for IFSEC?
SV: We expect not only find potential OEM buyers but also partners who are able to research and develop our products since the Z-wave market is not yet mature, especially in the consumer market.
