Qognify has been named Mobile Security Solution Provider of the Year at the 2017 Mobile Breakthrough Awards.
Qognify Extend, a suite of integrated mobile solutions that enhances situational awareness, picked up the accolade at the Mobile Breakthrough Awards, which recognises innovation in smartphone apps and wireless technology.
Powered by CloudScann, Qognify Extend is a cloud-based solution that extends the reach, coverage and effectiveness of an enterprise’s security control room and operations, by turning personnel — via their smartphones — into human sensors.
Using their smartphone field personnel can report information to the control room, including by streaming real-time video. Control room operators can dispatch personnel to a specific location and send instructions to directly to their devices.
Should they run into trouble, a ‘panic button’ will raise an alert in the control room.
It’s the second major accolade for Qognify Extend in a month, the app having won Communication Product of the Year at Security & Fire Excellence Awards 2017.
“Since we launched Qognify Extend earlier this year it has received extensive plaudits and praise from the security industry and beyond,” said Moti Shabtai, CEO and president of Qognify, whose portfolio includes video management, video and data analytics, and PSIM/ Situation Management solutions.
“Its ability to use smart devices to transform field operators into extremely powerful sensors is unprecedented, enabling them to share in real-time, vital information with control rooms to help mitigate the impact of an incident, or prevent it altogether.”
Qognify solutions help transport and municipal authorities, utility companies, financial institutions, organisers of major events and other critical infrastructure organisations mitigate risk, maintain business continuity and optimise operations.
