Whitepaper: Multi-residential access management – The move to digital

CCTVdirect is a UK security distributor which has been supplying installers in the UK and Europe with state-of-the-art security equipment since 2002.

Since its launch, the company says it has grown to become one of Europe’s leading and most trusted CCTV distributors, offering brands such as UNV (the third largest IP manufacturer in the world), Samsung, TwilightPro, Macroscop and many more. Its mission statement is: to always deliver our promise on time and under budget.

The company was founded by MD Mark Raine, who has over 20 years’ experience in the CCTV industry. He is supported by a fully trained team who operate out of the head office and showroom, based in Leeds, West Yorkshire. As well as welcoming customers to its showroom, CCTVdirect also prides itself on providing a friendly, professional service through its online store.

At IFSEC 2016, the company showcased its UNV Technologies product range. Focused on the IP video surveillance market, UNV has one of the largest markets shares in China. The range comprises 2MP and 4MP IP cameras, Starlight technology cameras, 4K network video recorders, 4K pan, tilt and zoom cameras, and a host of ancillary items.

IFSEC 2016 also gave CCTVdirect an opportunity to demonstrate the Macroscop VMS (video management system) package. According to the distributor, the system features software with advanced analytical features, such as facial recognition, heat mapping and people-counting capabilities.

CCTVdirect has also just announced that it will soon be selling a 128ch NVR solution from UNV called The Warrior. With RAID5 as standard and an impressive bitrate for large applications, it’s pitched as an ideal solution for bigger surveillance jobs. The manufacturer says it performs better than similar solutions that come in at five times the price.
