Security & Fire Excellence Awards back with a bang for 2021 – Entry deadline extended!

The Security and Fire Excellence Awards are back with a bang this year, taking place in-person on Tuesday 23 November 2021 at Hilton on Park Lane, London! IFSEC Global covers what to expect and provides an update on the latest additions to the much-anticipated event.

UPDATE: Due to high demand, the deadline for entries for the awards has now been extended to the 10th September!

While last year’s online awards event excelled as an virtual event to celebrate the best of the security and fire industry in a pandemic-hit year, the team behind the Awards are thrilled to announce that 2021 is set to go ahead in-person once more.

Now in its 22nd year, the Security & Fire Excellence Awards, supported by IFSEC and FIREX International, continues to highlight the very best people, projects and processes that the security and fire safety sectors have to offer.

The event has received an endorsement from The Independent Awards Standards Council for its independent judging process, with the presentation of the Awards Trust Mark. It also won silver place at the Awards Awards for ‘Best Longstanding Awards Event’, and was shortlisted for ‘Best Virtual Event’ at the Virtual Event Awards for its efforts in 2020.

Entry and new additions

This year’s awards will even seen new additions to the line-up.

For 2021, the team has reviewed the categories and made several additions and changes to enhance the offering and to make the event more company, people, team and project focused. Split into Company, People and Vendors, the Awards are designed to have something for everyone across the different disciplines.

You can check out the full category list and enter, here.

And, to recognise 21 amazing years of the Security and Fire Excellence Awards in all of its many name changes and guises (such as the IFSEC/FIREX Excellence Awards), a brand new category has been unveiled: S&FEA Champion of Champions! The new category will open for entries from all previous winners since the inaugural event – so if you’ve picked up a trophy as a winner in any category over the previous events, you will be eligible to enter.

And, in collaboration with IFSEC Global, the ‘Global Security Influencer of the Year – First Among Equals’ Award will be presented for the first time. The number ones in each Commercial Security category have made the shortlist, with an independent judging panel set to decide the winner to be announced on the night.

The deadline for entries is 11PM on the 10th September!

The team behind the awards are delighted to welcome back the in-person event for 2021, with tables already selling quickly for the 23rd November at London’s Hilton on Park Lane.
