IFSEC Insider sits down with James Willison and Sarb Sembhi, consultants for the IFSEC Converged Security Centre, to find out why organisations should be bringing their cyber, IT and physical security platforms together into one, holistic solution.
James gives an overview of what a converged security centre really looks like in practice, as the two then highlight the importance of cyber and physical teams collaborating – a process that a converged operation is designed to do.
As Sarb later explains, it’s all about holistic risk management and being able to respond more effectively to critical incidents – especially in that ‘golden hour’ following an attack. A converged security centre provides a platform to do this, with organisations such as NASA and leaders in big tech embracing the technology.
Also hear how the integration of security systems has evolved in recent years, and why this is enabling organisations to develop more centralised platforms, bringing data feeds from across the business together for a more complete picture of threats.
