Euralarm to host EN 50131-1 roundtable

Euralarm is hosting a roundtable to discuss revisions to EN 50131-1, regarding how new technologies can be incorporated into the standard so that it maintains its relevance within the sector. The company explains more.

For security and hold up systems the EN 50131-1 has been the base standard for alarm systems for intrusion and hold up for a long time. However, new technologies and applications are now available which can provide a benefit for the products and services that are provided to end-users.

At this moment, EN50131-1 is currently open for revision. Euralarm and its members want to work with stakeholders from the security industry to understand how these new technologies might be included in the updated standard, to ensure that it continues to stay relevant for end-users, alarm response and insurance companies and the rest of the industry.

The upcoming EN50131-1 revision is topic of a roundtable debate that Euralarm has organised for 4th February 2020 in Brussels, at the Blue Point building. The discussion will be held from 10AM – 12:30PM.

Would you like to contribute to keeping the EN50131-1 relevant for our industry? Then you are invited to attend the Euralarm roundtable.

Please be advised that the numbers of seats is limited. Registration is therefore advised to be completed as soon as possible, and by no later than January 24th, via the Euralarm secretariat.
