Multiple appointments and promotions for Milestone are “boosters on the rocket”

CEO Lars Thinggaard said the new moves would act like “boosters on a rocket.”

“Our business strategy in this fast-growth market includes hiring and keeping the best talent for developing our software, managing our processes and supporting our global channel of partners,” he said.

“Employing and promoting high-octane individuals with proven track records acts like boosters on the rocket.”

New hires from the security, telecommunications and IT industries

Lars Gudbrandsson has joined Milestone Systems as head of product management, after 13 years with Nokia in such positions as global product management leader, head of premium product management, and director of sales and product management.

Also joining Milestone is Martin Friis-Mikkelsen, who has been made a solution partner program manager, bringing a decade of management experience in IT and client services deployment from Unisys, Dell and Intel.

Lawrence de Guzman is now director of distribution, key accounts and vertical sales for the company, while Jens Johansson is Milestone’s new sales manager for its transport sector. Henrik Sydbo Hansen has been made sales manager of retail.

Joining as city surveillance/critical infrastructure sales manager for the US, is David King, who was previously at OnSSI and Anixter.

Also based in the US, Mike Tice has been made north central territory manager, covering sales for Wisconsin, Minnesota and Illinois. Prior to his new appointment, he worked at Pivot3 and Genetec.

Tim Taylor is territory manager for the great lakes region, which covers Michigan, Indiana and Ohio. He was at Pivot3 and Verint. Managing New England and upstate New York is Emmett Rooney, having been at Pelco, Paxton Access Control and ADT Security Services.

At Milestone Systems in the UK, Peter Currie has been made southern area sales manager. He has a 20-year career in the industry working for both integrators and manufacturers at Vigilant Technology, Videotec, Petards Ltd and Shorrock Security Systems.

Andrew Start has been given the job of central area sales manager in the UK, with knowledge from the IT industry in sales of wireless and fiber optic technology, as well as from selling Bosch surveillance products to IT resellers and working with Anixter.

Also working in sales in Europe, is Gianluca Mauriello, area sales manager for Milestone Systems Italy, while Heiko Suwalski has been hired from Videor to start next month as the new Milestone regional sales manager north in Germany, working out of Berlin.

Further out and based in Dubai, Tamara Abdallah has been appointed the role of sales engineer and Antony Joseph is also a new sales engineer for the company.

Also joining Milestone this year is Maria Corazon Samiento, who has been made support engineer. She worked in a senior technical support role for Telstra BigPond and D-Link.

Meanwhile, Troels Kristian Kruckow has joined Milestone Systems as a business analyst.

VPs, directors and other internal promotions

In management, Christian Bohn has been made VP of product management and marketing; Manual Nylin is VP of field sales for the Americas, and Tim Palmquist is VP sales pperations.

Juliette Gustavsson has been promoted to head of corporate marketing overseeing brand and marketing initiatives, responsible for web, graphics, collateral and visuals, including product launch and advertising campaigns.

After several years as marketing program manager for Milestone, Fredrik Wallberg has been promoted to marketing manager Americas, based in Oregon. Willa Myrman is marketing program manager Americas, hired from Western Fairs Association.

Tanja Myhrvold has been promoted to marketing program manager in Europe, at Milestone headquarters in Copenhagen. Also, Rohit Khubchandani in Dubai has taken on a new role as marketing program manager for the Middle East, Africa, Australia, New Zealand and India.

Louis Lyu has been promoted to sales manager South Asia after several years working out of the Singapore office, while Morten Lundberg has moved to the Singapore office from the product management team in Copenhagen, to be technical support manager in Asia.

Martin Romme has become technical product manager, responsible for the Milestone Software Development Kit (SDK), coming from the Milestone Consultancy team where he worked on customising Milestone integrated solutions for special projects, and training partners in use of the SDK.

In the product management team, Line Byssing has moved from sales to product manager after returning from maternity leave, and Andreas Pettersson is a newly hired product manager for the core XProtect products, coming from Anoto AB.
