Securitas UK appoints Satia Rai as Head of Diversity, Inclusion & Belonging

Set to play a critical role in defining and delivering on Securitas UK’s overall strategy, Satia Rai has been appointed as the company’s new Head of Diversity, Inclusion & Belonging.

Satia, who was also appointed the CEO of the International Professional Security Association (IPSA) in November 2022, has over 26 years’ of experience in the security industry, and says she is excited to be starting in the role.

Building on and committed to a diversity and inclusion strategy

Securitas is aiming to build on its diversity and inclusion commitment with Satia’s appointment, with four main themes to its strategy.

Sarah Hayes, HR Director, Securitas UK, explains: “Over the last three years we have been building on our diversity and inclusion strategy with the ultimate goal to create a place where we all truly belong, where we can remove our masks and be our authentic selves. This goes beyond the protected characteristics and having a policy.

“We have 4 main themes to our strategy:

  • Recognition, recognising contributions over and above in a fair and transparent way
