Axis Security was named Security Company of the Year (in the over £25m turnover category) at this year’s Security and Fire Excellence Awards.
The award recognises yet another highly successful year for the business in which turnover, profitability and its client portfolio has increased.
Axis says it continues to focus on customer service and is an active and contributing member of the Institute of Customer Services, being the first security company to achieve ServiceMark Accreditation for service excellence. It was similarly the first security company to sign up to the C19 Pledge, which aims to harness the power of business to help tackle the pandemic and was also one of the first security businesses to achieve the maximum ACS score of 145.
Axis Security was able to demonstrate to the judges that it successfully integrates numerous technology platforms to support officers and customers, and that its dedicated training division and also its coaching and mentoring programmes are having a positive impact on its employees and service delivery.
David Mundell, Axis Security’s Managing Director, says that he is proud to be delivering a first-class security service and to be the employer of choice: “This has been a challenging year for all businesses in the sector and it is against this backdrop that our focus on our people has really shone brightly.
“We set out our first ever ‘People Strategy’ in 2017 and since then it has become embedded within our culture. Our successes really are the successes of the people on the front line delivering our services. We are committed to improving their lives, whether through pay and benefits, wellbeing, learning or career development, and that is reflected in our high staff and customer retention rates. Their loyalty, professionalism and determination in the face of adversity is remarkable.
“We will always have more work to do and more improvements to make,” he continues, “but we take comfort in the feedback we receive from both our people, our customers and our peers. So, accolades such as this award really do make us proud, and we will continue to strive to be the best security employer, and the best security partner to our customers.”
Axis Security has previously been named Security Company of the Year on four other occasions: 2010, 2013, 2014 and 2018.
