Tyco Retail Solutions Acquires Creativesystems to Boost RFID Applications

Tyco Retail Solutions has reached an agreement to acquire Creativesystems to improve delivery of its RFID-based inventory applications to retailers across the globe.

Creativesystems provides integrated RFID solutions and professional services to retailers and manufacturers aiming at improving their operational efficiency.

“Creativesystems’ innovative technology and capabilities will enhance Tyco‘s RFID-based product and services offerings,” says Nancy Chisholm, president of Tyco Retail Solutions.

“This strategic investment reinforces our commitment to the European market and store performance solutions to better meet the quickly-evolving needs of our global customers.”

Creativesystems, which was founded in Portugal in 2002, is expected to complement Tyco Retail Solutions’ existing global RFID infrastructure and buttress the expansion of Tyco’s Truevue Retail Platform and associated applications.

“We are excited to be a part of the Tyco Retail family,” said Creativesystems CEO Joao Vilaca. “Together, our aligned, customer-focused approach will offer unprecedented value to our retail and manufacturing customers.”
