Measuring 100 by 115 by 42mm, the three new dome cameras have been designed for environments where there may be limited space, such as in lifts, entrance lobbies, stair wells, small shops and transport applications.
The SNV-5010, an ONVIF complaint, vandal resistant and fully weatherproofed 1.3 megapixel dome camera, incorporates Samsung’s WiseNet1 DSP chipset. The SNV-5010 features licence-free Intelligent Video Analytics (IVA) which has an optical tripwire and enter or exit direction detection capability, as well as an appear or disappear function to detect the movement of objects. IVA also has a scene change tampering function, which creates an alert if, for example, paint is sprayed on a camera lens or there is unauthorised movement of a camera away from its usual field of view.
The SCD-2010F incorporates Samsung’s W-5 DSP chipset designed to deliver 600TV lines of resolution when lighting levels are as low as 0.04Lux. Supplied with a 3.0mm lens to capture just under a 90 degrees angle of view, the SCD-2010F combines Samsung’s Super Noise Reduction (SSNRIII) and Sens up technologies to enhance low light performance of the camera in colour. This is achieved by increasing the gain level and reducing the shutter speed of the cameras with SSNRIII, reducing the resultant noise to produce a cleaner and clearer image.
The SCD-2010F has a range of other features including coaxial control, high light compensation, motion detection, Samsung Super Dynamic Range (SSDR) and a multi-language on-screen display for easy set-up. A privacy feature allows for 12 privacy zones to be outlined in different colours and brightness settings so that they can be clearly seen against varying background scenes.
The third model in the range, the SCV-2010F, is a vandal resistant version of the SCD-2010F, which is weatherproof to IP66.
