Midwich acquires security distributor Ubiqz
Ubiqz’s general manager, Anand Subbiah, said: “I’m excited at the prospect of developing our business with the support of such a large group. As a specialist distributor, we will continue to focus on the security sector but the acquisition will significantly improve customer service, product choice, stock availability and performance across all aspects of our business.
“In addition, the financial strength of our new parent company means that we will be extending our credit lines and investing for sustainable, long term growth. This really is tremendous news for our staff, vendors and customers.”
Ubiqz, a trade-only distributor of analogue and IP-based security solutions, represents Bosch, Sanyo, Panasonic, JVC, Samsung and Maxxess among other manufacturers.
The acquisition comes as Ubiqz is appointed distributor in the UK of Samsung’s iPOLiS range of IP and networking video surveillance solutions.
