Vista launches new VPL6 vandal resistant PTZ dome camera
A day/night dome camera, the VPL6 has a 600TVL resolution ExView Had CCD, 22:1 optical zoom lens and a moving IR cut filter to allow the use of infrared lighting.
It also features a low-light sensitivity of 0.01Lux monochrome, wide dynamic range, plus 3DNR, ensuring that the maximum scene detail is delivered, even in highly-contrasting scenes of view.
The VPL6 boasts four privacy zones and a total of 120 presets. Each preset can be set up on a preset-by-preset basis, for VMD, D/N operation, WDR, BLC, gain, brightness and all its shutter modes.
The camera has auto-sensing multi-protocol RS485 and coax telemetry control. The auto sensing ability has been designed to reduce installation time and with a wide choice of control options, so that the dome can be controlled from many DVRs and matrices. Coax control should mean existing static cameras can be upgraded to the VPL6, without the need for extra cable requirements, Vista said.
Mark Pritchard, Vista’s divisional director, said: “Extremely cost-effective versus similar specification dome products, the VPL6-SM’s small and discreet vandal resistant design can be used for either internal or external applications.
“Featuring an enviable specification that includes continuous rotation, privacy zones and tours, the dome camera is suitable for a wide range of 24/7 surveillance applications.”
