CCTV Center renews PSD status

During this year’s IFSEC Simon Wright, managing director of Panasonic System Solutions Europe, presented Andy Coombes, MD of CCTV Center, with a certificate marking the company’s new three-year term as a PSD.

The certification confirms that CCTV Center maintains the high level of equipment specification and customer service that it first achieved in 2006, when the company originally became the first Panasonic Systems Distributor.

A statement said: “When purchasing from a PSD, installers can be sure that the products provided are of the highest quality and most innovative designs, and that full pre and post sales support will be provided by a fully competent distributor with expertise in that area.

“By attending a required number of training courses PSDs demonstrate the ability to design, support and sell integrated and networked security surveillance. PSDs are also required to continuously replenish stock and provide a high level of pre and post sales service to their customers.”

“Customers using trusted Panasonic brand equipment in their solutions can marry them with other leading equipment brands to deliver a complete solution that is robust and reliable,” said Carlton D’Souza, CCTV Center’s sales and marketing manager.

“Support and depth of knowledge for the whole system solution are what differentiates a PSD from any other outlet that sells Panasonic.”

Simon Wright of Panasonic said that installers will find noticeable benefits from dealing with a PSD: “A distributor is normally a generalist and can’t know or support product solutions with such depth. A PSD can provide additional help with detailed design and technical back-up when configuring the chosen system for maximum performance.

“That’s an advantage, for example, when specifying an IP system that it may otherwise be more difficult to extract optimal performance from. A PSD like CCTV Center can help installers, system integrators and their end user customers ensure they get full value for money from this security investment.”
