City surveillance and explosion-proof cameras primed for rapid growth
The market for low-light functionality in video surveillance cameras is set to boom in the coming years, according to a new report from IHS Markit.
Meanwhile, city surveillance is comfortably the fastest-growing video surveillance vertical, projected to grow by a third by the market research firm in its Video Surveillance Intelligence Service report.
Hanwha Techwin has produced an infographic (see below) highlighting some of the report’s most eye-catching forecasts around camera types and vertical markets.
Growing at double digit rates, the global video surveillance equipment market is buoyant as security, public safety and business intelligence has risen up the agenda of governments, city planners and enterprise organisations.
IHS Markit provides market intelligence to the world’s 15 largest video surveillance equipment suppliers, which it helps to navigate and unlock commercial opportunities in this expanding market.
Hanwha Techwin is a developer of video surveillance solutions for IP, analogue and hybrid systems. Formerly Samsung Techwin, Hanwha Techwin was among the first in its field to run software solutions within the camera – at the edge of the system instead of the hardware at its heart.
Hanwha Techwin Europe’s solutions, which encompass network cameras, DVRs, VMS systems and compression technology, are available across Europe via an extensive network of distributors. Founded in 1952, the Hanwha Group is a Fortune Global 500 company with 52 domestic affiliates and 146 global networks in manufacturing and construction, finance, and services and leisure.
