Eagle Eye Networks has added line crossing, intrusion detecton, object counting and loitering to the suite of video analytics tools offered within the Eagle Eye Cloud VMS.
Eagle Eye Cloud VMS customers can instantly activate analytics on their cameras without installing additional hardware or software. They can also receive analytic alerts and data without system upgrades or input from on-site technicians.
Analytics can be activated from the dashboard of any camera in their account that is supported by the Eagle Eye Cloud VMS – and that can include analogue models.
Customers can now track and view up to 25 analytic events in Eagle Eye’s Gallery Viewer. Using the Eagle Eye Gallery Viewer users can quickly find video of interest and view active motion and analytic events. Customers can also create customised period graphs of the enhanced data covering timespans of between five minutes to seven days.
More details on the new analytics features:
Line crossing. Detects when an object crosses a virtual line. Direction may be specified, and notifications may be generated. Useful for receiving notifications when a security boundary (fence, restricted area, and one-way road) is crossed. Also suited for monitoring building entrances, loading docks and parking lots.
Intrusion detection. Detects when an object enters a customer defined area. Intrusion detection is used to generate a notification when an object enters that forbidden area.
Object counting. Counts how many objects cross a line in either direction – such as cars, people, or other objects. Total count per day, per direction, and current delta of the count are updated and displayed.
Loitering. Monitors a defined area and triggers an alert if an object lingers longer than the pre-configured dwell time.
The enhanced analytics are immediately available and can be enabled within the Eagle Eye Dashboard for each camera.
