upgrading cameras to smart business tools

Eagle Eye Networks expands Cloud Video API Developer Programme

Cloud video pioneer Eagle Eye Networks has expanded the developer programme it runs to help integrators and customers integrate video into a variety of applications using its cloud video API.

The programme gives participating developers their own Eagle Eye Video API account, together with discounted equipment that connects compatible security cameras to the Eagle Eye cloud video surveillance platform. They also gain access to sample code, training, phone support and system design assistance.

The Eagle Eye Cloud Video Application Programming Interface (API) comprises tools with which developers can build or integrate applications – both simple and complex – with both live and recorded video captured by surveillance cameras. Visualization and analysis applications might, for instance, focus on point-of-sale, customer service or video alerts on employee training – but Eagle Eye Networks says the API’s versatility makes the potential range far wider.

Operational efficiencies

Customers can effectively transform surveillance cameras with narrow security-related capabilities into smart tools that generate commercial intelligence and operational efficiencies. And because Eagle Eye’s solutions are fully cloud-managed, customers are free from the front-loaded, high costs – spanning purchase, installation and ongoing maintenance – involved in running traditional hardware-based, on-site solutions. The Eagle Eye platform takes care of capturing, storing and indexing video.

With just a few lines of code developers can search, modify, tag, play, share, and stream video in their apps. Eagle Eye Networks’ RESTful Video API provides storage, analytics, indexing and interfaces for building or integrating applications with both live and recorded video.

No extra charges are levied for using the Eagle Eye Cloud VMS API, whose myriad applications can include analytics integration, user database integration, simplifying user interface development and specialised mobile app development.

Eagle Eye promises customers bank-level security and encryption plus analogue and digital camera support provided via the web or mobile applications.

Eagle Eye Networks is exhibiting at IFSEC International 2019, taking place 18-20 June 2019 at ExCeL London (stand IF834). Book your free ticket now.
