Cloud video surveillance pioneer Eagle Eye Networks has slashed prices on medium- and long-term retention plans for the Eagle Eye Cloud VMS.
As of 1 March 2019 prices for retention plans over 60 days are now between 30-35% lower, while a further discount of 10% is available to customers who opt for an annual subscriptions.
Eagle Eye Networks has leveraged its size – managing and storing video data through 11 data centres worldwide – and the economies of scale inherent in the cloud model to negotiate better pricing with internet service providers and IT suppliers.
The company says it has also ploughed investment into engineering, compression technologies and operational management systems to realise further cost-efficiencies.
New HD subscriptions plans –HD3, HD4 and HD10 join existing HD1, HD2, and HD5 plans – can lower prices for some customers on account of mirroring more closely their megapixel camera resolutions.
Economical
Eagle Eye Networks has also introduced Cloud Preview Only subscriptions. Designed for customers preferring to save one-frame-per-second preview images to the cloud, it’s an economical means of achieving substrative cloud backup.
“Eagle Eye Networks is committed to delivering the best possible video surveillance service to our partners and their customers,” said Dean Drako, CEO of Eagle Eye Networks.
“We want to make it as seamless as possible for our partners to move their customers to a cloud service and recurring revenue model – which is better for the customer and better for our partners for many reasons.
“Cloud-based systems offer many benefits ranging from continuous feature delivery to stronger cyber security practices. Our significant investment in global infrastructure has resulted in considerable economies of scale and we will continue to pass on those savings to our customers. Cloud Video Surveillance is clearly the future.”
The Eagle Eye Cloud VMS, which provides redundancy and encrypted video surveillance without the burden of significant on-premises infrastructure, is sold across the Americas, Europe and Asia.
The Austin, Texas-headquartered company dominates the cloud-managed video market in North America and now has a foothold in Europe through its acquisition of Panasonic Business in 2017.
