Genetec to unveil UK headquarters in the City of London

Genetec is unveiling a new UK HQ in the City of London at it seeks to build on strong growth in the UK and wider EMEA region.

The new headquarters will feature a training facility and a ‘Genetec Experience Center’ where visitors can see Genetec solutions and those from its extensive ecosystem of technology partners in action.

A dedicated research and development team based at the new site will focus on justice and public safety applications for law enforcement, emergency responders and local government.

“At a time when Brexit has seen many organisations reconsider their presence, Genetec is unequivocal about the role of the United Kingdom as a critically important part of the global economy,” said Paul Dodds, country manager, UK & Ireland for the developer of unified security, public safety, operations, and business intelligence solutions.

“As such, we’re delighted to be opening a central London headquarters to better meet the needs of our channel partners, end users and prospects.”

Said Michel Chalouhi, VP of global sales for a brand that recently became the world’s biggest VMS vendor: “The new London headquarters will give us the perfect platform to continue to execute our UK strategy and sustain the excellent year-on-year growth that we’ve achieved globally over the past years.

“The security market is growing and changing rapidly. We are constantly facing new challenges, so we need to ensure we work with our local partners to provide up-to-date training, compelling educational experiences, and state-of-the-art support. Our base in London will help us do that, thanks to its fantastic location, facilities, and links.”

Anyone wishing to attend the new UK HQ’s official unveiling, scheduled for early November, can register their interest now.

Genetec has also announced that its Stratocast cloud-based VMS is now supported by Bosch, MOBOTIX and EUKLIS cameras.

I recently spoke to Genetec’s global sales engineering director Simon Cook about leveraging social media for situational awareness and the latest iteration of Security Center, an open architecture platform that unifies video surveillance, access control, ANPR, communications and analytics.
