Milestone Systems launches System Builder for hardware partners

Milestone Systems has launched System Builder, which enables hardware manufacturers to ship hardware with Milestone XProtect Essential+ video management software (VMS).

The unique open programme lets hardware manufacturers ship their servers and storage devices equipped with Milestone XProtect software.

Milestone channel partners and customers will benefit from tested and validated configurations from hardware manufacturers because XProtect Essential+ is preloaded onto the hardware.

The System Builder enables easy deployment of the VMS or an upgrade to a more advanced edition through a Milestone channel partner.

Milestone supports the VMS software, while the hardware partners joining the System Builder Programme will leverage existing support structures.

This initiative extends the reach beyond markets Milestone already targets with its Husky NVR offerings.

In addition to the XProtect functionality, Milestone customers benefit from software add-on options from Milestone Solution Partners and more than 7,000 supported camera models and other hardware devices.

Hardware partners in the Milestone System Builder Program shipping products with Milestone’s VMS software can design hardware for specific surveillance markets. They can also tap into the Internet of Things and artificial intelligence market.

Meanwhile, Milestone customers will benefit from a wider range of tested and validated hardware with XProtect preloaded.

“Customers can now get the XProtect experience on their hardware of choice in a few clicks. Nobody else is doing this,” says Bjørn Skou Eilertsen, CTO of Milestone Systems. “Customers will also be able to easily enter the world of intelligent video solutions by tapping into the rich spectrum of add-ons from Milestone Solution Partners,” he adds.
