WATCH: Highlights from IFSEC 2018 – including Drone Zone, Attack Testing and Engineers of Tomorrow

Courtesy of IFSEC TV, here are several highlights videos from IFSEC 2018, Europe’s largest annual security trade show.

Videos include overall highlights, footage from the Show Me How campaign, the LPCB Attack Testing Zone, Drone Zone and Engineers of Tomorrow competition, plus highlights videos from across the show focused on days one, two and three.

Overall highlights

‘Show me How’ highlights

IFSEC 2018 marked the debut of the ‘Show Me How’ campaign, in which solution providers showed visitors how to install, use and maintain their products – the emphasis being on education rather than sales pitches.

LPCB Attack Testing Zone

LPCB conducted live security tests to compare the durability of a range of security products, highlighting critical differences between approved and unapproved versions. The tests showed the importance of procuring only approved security products and the risks if you don’t.

Drone Zone

Visitors to the The Drone Zone saw drones – and anti-drone tech – in action and speak to world-leading experts in the field.

There were also presentations and panel debates on the applications, risks, benefits and barriers to drone deployment in the Keynote Arena, plus a drone clinic hosted by the Civil Aviation Authority, providing advice on regulatory compliance, training and specialist organisations.

Engineers of Tomorrow

A competition in which engineering apprentices install security systems against the clock marked its 20th birthday with a new fire category.

Working in pairs, 60 young engineers had 90 minutes in which to install and find faults with intruder alarm systems and, for the first time, fire alarm systems.
