IFSEC 2019

WATCH: Highlights from IFSEC International 2019

Here’s a chance to revisit IFSEC International 2019 if you managed to get to London ExCeL between 18-20 June – or to see what you missed if you couldn’t make it.

As usual, visitors – including senior security professionals from blue-chip global organisations – could source security solutions from more than 500 exhibiting companies, including Axis Communications, HID Global, Hikvision and CSL. IFSEC has long since diversified beyond cameras, intruder alarms and traditional access control, with companies like Anyvision, IDEMIA and Verint bringing some mind-boggling innovations in AI, biometrics and analytics to London ExCeL.

But IFSEC is more than just traditional exhibition stands. Seeing is believing and the capabilities of various products and solutions were showcased around the exhibition halls as part of the Show Me How programme.

A forward-thinking seminar programme featured 35 plus hours of educational content in the IFSEC Keynote Arena, chaired by Frank Gardner OBE, the Converged Security Centre brought to you by Vidsys and the Future of Security Theatre, powered by Tavcom. Topics this year included hacking autonomous cars, what 5G means for the security industry, the role of AI in criminal investigations and how to secure the internet of things.

Other highlights included the LPCB Attack Testing Zone, where technicians tested both approved and unapproved security products with handheld tools, the Engineers of Tomorrow competition for apprentice installers, and areas to relax and network like Central Park and the BSIA Lounge.
