Eagle Eye Networks expands into Latin American market

Cloud video surveillance pioneer Eagle Eye Networks is expanding into the Latin American market.

Eagle Eye Networks will market cloud-based platforms Eagle Eye Cloud VMS, aimed at small to enterprise customers, and Eagle Eye CameraManager, for micro businesses and consumer OEM applications.

Long established as the leader in cloud-based video surveillance in North America, the company will now target potential customers in Colombia, Peru, Argentina, Paraguay, Mexico, Costa Rica, Panama, Ecuador and the Caribbean.

Eagle Eye Networks, which recently opened a Japanese office, said numerous resellers in the region had requested to become channel partners. Its Latin American team will support the region from its office in Medellin, Colombia.

The acquisition, in 2017, of Panasonic Cloud Management Services Europe BV, has already propelled Eagle Eye Networks into European, Middle East and African markets.

More than 80 countries

The latest expansion means the company can now support clients in more than 80 countries and data-centre operations in 11 countries.

Eagle Eye Networks has grown more than 93% (compounded annual growth rate) for the past four years.

“The key requirements to a successful Latin America cloud surveillance business is exceptional people, cybersecurity and the ability to serve the market at an effective price point,” said Dean Drako, CEO and founder of Eagle Eye Networks. “We have found that the region’s cost of internet up-bandwidth has been falling similarly to European and American markets, making it more affordable to operate cloud systems than on-site systems.

“Even more importantly, we have begun hiring exceptional industry veterans, and we will continue to do so as we have in Europe, Asia Pacific and America.”

Eagle Eye Networks’ systems and subscription services are marketed exclusively through a network of certified resellers and systems integrators.

Eagle Eye Networks recently announced a technology partnership with SALTO KS, introduced open source SDK, camera-to-cloud connectivity and launched a 4G/LTE mobile camera for sites with limited internet access.
