Following the launch of several new product lines and update to its PRO Desktop installation, service and monitoring solution, Ajax Systems, has now opened its first manufacturing plant abroad in Turkey. IFSEC Global caught up with the company at IFSEC International 2022 to find out more.
While geopolitical challenges remain in Ajax’s home region of Ukraine as a result of the ongoing war with Russia, Ajax Systems has continued to develop and grow in 2022. It extended its market presence in Latin America in February, relocated over 600 employees to safer regions in Ukraine and Europe, and announced several new product lines in March.
The company also attended IFSEC International at London’s ExCeL in May, showcasing many of its product lines and update to its PRO Desktop solution.
Now, the team has opened its first plant abroad in Istanbul, Turkey – a development it had planned long before the war, but that has now been completed.
The new 8300m2 plant will produce the entire lineup of Ajax devices, duplicating the current production in Ukraine, the company explains. A local manufacturing team will consist of around 400 people to start, with plans to produce at least 150,000 devices per month.
Aleksandr Konotopskyi, CEO of Ajax Systems commented: “The opening of a new plant in Istanbul is a strategic step planned by the company and aimed at diversifying production facilities. We chose Turkey based on a combination of factors: the availability of manufacturing professionals, infrastructure, the free economic zone conditions, the level of taxes, the quality of contractors, and proximity to our major markets. The new production will strengthen the Ajax product development and accelerate access to new markets.
“We strongly believe that the diversity of talents and cultures creates the best products and solutions. And we have always counted on local teams.”
