Arcules announced the release of its integration with Immix Central Station (IMMIX CS) and Guard Force (IMMIX GF). The integration aims to provide Central Station and Guard Force users a way to manage, verify and respond to security events while leveraging Arcules-managed video feeds.
“Our central monitoring customers and institutions with large security teams have been asking for a more comprehensive solution that combines the flexibility of a cloud VMS with the alarm management efficiency of IMMIX CS and GF, and this integration meets this growing requirement,” said Steve Prodger, Chief Revenue Officer, Arcules. ”We are confident that joint customers will find that this solution combines the best of cloud video and robust alarm monitoring services.”
This integration is said to make it easier for IMMIX CS and GF operators to view live and recorded cloud-based video, receive alarm notifications and health alerts, using the Immix software after an initial one-time setup with Arcules. The result aims to be a solution that accommodates the continued growth of cloud-based video management services by businesses across multiple markets.

VIVOTEK

VAST Security Station for AI surveillance
VIVOTEK will launch its AI security system, VAST Security Station (VSS), in March.
VSS is a surveillance platform that combines AI and edge computing technologies to achieve more accurate facial recognition and vehicle detection ‘in real-time’ by integrated cameras. VSS is capable of managing up to 20,000 cameras simultaneously and offers an array of intelligent image analysis tools for query accuracy and information security, aiming to enhance operational management and efficiency. In celebration of its upcoming release, VIVOTEK is offering a migration promotion from VAST 2 to VSS Professional, starting on 8 March.

VSS will be available in three tiers – VSS Lite is the base tier and free to use, VSS Standard is designed to be cost-effective for SMEs, and VSS Professional is geared for medium to large enterprises with a high demand for 24-hour centralised management.

VSS offers a range of advanced network security management tools, including data protection, comprehensive transmission and video encryption, antivirus integration, and real-time warning functionality.

The AI analytics aims to make incident prevention and post-event evidencing easier with front-end cameras that include AI image detection capabilities. Images are then processed using VIVOTEK’s proprietary Deep Search technology so that users can perform attribute search, scene search, and re-search across ‘tens of thousands’ of cameras to accurately filter gender, age, clothing colour, accessories, vehicle type or vehicle colour.

IDIS

AI box launched for surveillance
IDIS has expanded its range of AI-powered add-on devices with the launch of the AI Box for surveillance, the DV-1304-A.

The AI box provides users with the benefits of AI-video through a ‘simple and affordable’ four-channel add-on box, removing the need for analytics software or to upgrade to edge AI cameras.
The device aims to allow highly accurate and multi-function analysis from a single camera without the need for calibration.

Pre-installed with the IDIS Deep Learning Engine, according to the firm, the box can be connected to existing NVRs. Leveraging the DirectIP plug-and-play technology, users can deploy additional boxes to expand their systems.

Users are also said to benefit from accurate analytics such as object detection – including people, cars, and bikes – line crossing, loitering detection, and face detection, with the additional benefits of faster and more efficient event search.
Using either the cost-free, full-featured IDIS Center or enterprise-class IDIS Solution Suite VMS, operators can configure real-time notifications to oversee everyday events and receive alerts to potential threats before losses or damage occurs.

i-PRO

Multi-directional + PTZ camera for outdoor use

I-PRO will expand its multi-sensor line with a multi-directional + PTZ camera. The WV-X86531-Z2 features edge AI capabilities, advanced cybersecurity, and vandal resistance for a wide range of deployment options.

Traditional multi-sensor + PTZ cameras tend to be heavy and bulky which has relegated their deployments to exterior, elevated mounting positions, according to i-PRO. The new outdoor-rated and vandal-proof WV-X86531-Z2 camera claims to be nearly ‘half the weight’ of competing multi-directional PTZ cameras. At 3.8 kg and 250 x 195 mm, it is a discreet and smaller camera, which operators benefit from lower mount heights and improved viewings angles for better AI performance.

The camera supports up to four 5MP multi-sensors in addition to the 2MP PTZ sensor. Each multi-sensor has a 3.2mm focal length and a 97° field of view aiming to support up to 360° of panoramic coverage. The in-built auto-tracking PTZ camera features a 21x optical zoom and 4.0 to 84.6mm focal length. The camera is integrated so there’s ‘no need’ for double assembly, and no calibration is required between the multi-sensor cameras and PTZ camera to set the angle of view.

CSL

Dual-radio solution in partnership with Orisec

CSL have extended their Connected range, including a dual-radio solution, in partnership with Orisec.
The dual-path variants are said to be available to order via users’ chosen ARC. This includes DP2 variants, Radio + Radio, LAN + Radio and Wi-Fi + Radio.
CSL Connected aims to provide connectivity directly to the ARC via the Gemini Global Platform, offering installers ‘full-proof’ single and dual-path alarm signalling. The App is then designed to allow users to set and unset their alarm systems, view and control cameras, receive alerts live-time and manage their devices with full remote access.
Andy Bromley, CSL’s Strategic Product Manager, commented: “We are delighted to announce the extension of our hugely popular, CSL Connected Range. With our Connected Partner, Orisec, we are introducing the first dual-radio solution to the market. Just like our leading DualCom Pro Range, these dual-path variants of CSL Connected come with network-diverse 4G SIMs, to maximise uptime and provide even greater resilience”.

Hanwha Techwin

Low Frame Rate cameras added to thermal range

Hanwha Techwin Europe has launched three new additions to the Wisenet T range, the TNO-L3030T, TNO-L4030T, and TNO-L4030TR.
The thermal cameras feature a low frame rate of 8fps, and come with maximum 320×240 (QVGA) and 640×480 (VGA) resolution support and a built-in 13.7/13 mm fixed lens.
Clear day and night detection are said to be delivered by the thermal cameras along with the ability to visually monitor the temperature of scenes with vivid colour palettes and on-screen displays.

Aimed at manufacturing and industrial facilities, air and seaports and mining areas, the devices are said to work in challenging weather such as fog, smoke and rain, and different lighting conditions including complete darkness and backlit areas. Images are high contrast to clearly show temperature differences between an object and a background, so that users can detect incidents more easily.
The thermal cameras come with edge-based video and audio analytics for ‘extra operational efficiency’ and situational awareness. Sound classification based on the frequency of a sound source can alert operators when an abnormal sound is detected such as screaming or possible aggression. Motion detection, appear/disappear, enter/exit and virtual line is designed to send an alert when objects enter and move through a defined space. The cameras are also said to detect possible tampering and come equipped with shock detection.

2N

Augmented reality app

2N has launched an augmented reality app, 2N AppeAR, that allows architects, engineers, integrators and installers to see how the company’s products would look if incorporated into their projects.
For every 2N product, 2N AppeAR is said to provide detailed 3D models, technical information, useful videos, and the option to view them disassembled. It also enables ‘virtual installation’ so that architects and installers can ensure that the 2N product they have chosen is the right fit for their project.

The app is designed so that a user can point their phone at the place they are considering installing the device and an augmented reality image of it would appear on the screen ‘as if it were in the room’. Through the app, users are said to be able to evaluate the products for size, shape and positioning, as well as trying out different colour variations.
2N AppeAR follows two other 2N tools that have ‘proved popular’ with architects: 2N Virtual Experience, a 3D animation tool to facilitate the planning process and help ensure that the best possible access control solution is proposed for each project, and 2N Project Designer, a step-by-step guide aimed to save partners time when planning both commercial and residential installations.
2N AppeAR is already available on the Apple App Store and Google Play.
